[:id]Sebagai bagian dari rangkaian Dies Natalis Fakultas Farmasi Universitas Hasanuddin yang ke -14, Farmasi UNHAS menyelenggarakan Webinar TopScientist pada 13 November 2021. Pada kegiatan ini dua peneliti kelas dunia diundang sebagai pembicara. Di antaranya ada Bapak Prof. Taifo Mahmud dari Oregon University dan Ibu Sri Fatmawati, Ph.D, yang merupakan Ketua Akademi Ilmuan Muda Indonesia.
Kegiatan ini dibuka oleh Wakil Rektor IV, Prof dr. Nasrum Massi, Ph.D. Dalam sambutannya beliau menyampaikan bahwa kegiatan ini merupakan bagian dari gerakan UNHAS menuju World Class University dan melalui gerakan ini, UNHAS diharapkan mampu berkolaborasi dengan peneliti-peneliti berkelas dunia. Oleh karenanya, Farmasi UNHAS turut menyelenggarakan kegiatan ini dengan mengundang Prof. Taifo Mahmud dan Ibu Sri Fatmawati, Ph.D dengan mengangkat topik seputar potensi kimia bahan alam baik dari laut maupun dari hutan Indonesia.
Secara khusus, Prof Taifo Mahmud mengulas seputar bahan alam yang berasal dari bahan laut yang disebut dengan “Blue Biotechnology”, dengan beragam potensi yang sangat besar khususnya di bidang obat-obatan. Ada beberapa senyawa bahan alam laut yang dipaparkan termasuk untuk tujuan UV protectant. Sambutan dekan yang diwakili oleh Wakil Dekan I, Prof Dr.rer.nat Marianti A Manggau, Apt. juga mendukung penelitian semacam ini sebab Fakultas Farmasi UNHAS sebagai salah satu universitas yang banyak berkecimpung di bidang pengembangan bahan obat alam laut.
Materi berikutnya dilanjutkan oleh Ibu Sri Fatmawati, Ph.D yang mengulas banyak potensi senyawa bahan alam dari tanaman-tanaman obat yang banyak ditemukan di hutan-hutan tropis Indonesia. Pada paparannya, ada beberapa senyawa yang telah diisolasi dan diuji baik secara invitro maupun in silico pada berbagai protein biomolekul.
[:en]As part of the 14th Anniversary of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Hasanuddin University, faculty of pharmacy held a TopScientist Webinar on November 13, 2021. In this event, two world-class researchers were invited as speakers. Among them are Prof. Taifo Mahmud from Oregon University and Mrs. Sri Fatmawati, Ph.D, who is the Chair of the Indonesian Academy of Young Scientists. This activity was opened by the Vice Chancellor IV, Prof dr. Nasrum Massi, Ph.D. In his speech he said that this activity is part of the UNHAS movement towards World Class University and through this movement, UNHAS is expected to be able to collaborate with world-class researchers. Therefore, UNHAS Pharmacy also organized this activity by inviting Prof. Taifo Mahmud and Mrs. Sri Fatmawati, Ph.D by raising the topic of the chemical potential of natural materials both from the sea and from Indonesian forests. In particular, Prof. Taifo Mahmud discussed about natural materials derived from marine materials called “Blue Biotechnology”, with a variety of enormous potential, especially in the field of medicine. There are several compounds of marine natural ingredients that are exposed, including for the purpose of UV protectants. Speech by the dean represented by the Vice Dean of academic affairs, Prof. Dr.rer.nat Marianti A Manggau, Apt. also supports this kind of research because the Faculty of Pharmacy UNHAS as one of the universities that is mostly involved in the development of marine natural medicinal ingredients. The next material was continued by Mrs. Sri Fatmawati, Ph.D who reviewed the many potential compounds of natural ingredients from medicinal plants that are commonly found in Indonesia’s tropical forests. In his presentation, there are several compounds that have been isolated and tested both in vitro and in silico on various protein biomolecules.[:]
