Ujian Kompetensi Apoteker Indonesia (UKAI) dijadwalkan akan dilaksanakan secara serentak pada Sabtu, 29 Oktober 2016. Untuk ujian di lokal Unhas akan diselenggarakan di Ruang Computer-Based Training (CBT) Fakultas Kedokteran Unhas.
Sebanyak 20 orang fresh graduate Program Studi Profesi Apoteker (PSPA) Unhas akan mengikuti ujian ini. Untuk pengawasan, 2 orang akan diplot dimana 1 orang pengawas lokal yaitu Anshar Saud, M.Farm., Apt. dan 1 orang pengawas nasional yaitu Noffendri, S.Si., Apt. yang merupakan perwakilan dari Pengurus Pusat Ikatan Apoteker Indonesia (PP IAI).
Sebagaimana yang diketahui bahwa UKAI adalah salah satu langkah yang mesti dilalui oleh para fresh graduate PSPA untuk memperoleh Surat Izin Praktik Apoteker (SIPA). Jika dinyatakan lolos UKAI, maka peserta akan mendapatkan Sertifikat Kompetensi Apoteker Indonesia (SKAI). Dokumen ini menjadi syarat untuk mengurus Surat Tanda Registrasi Apoteker (STRA). SKAI dan STRA menjadi dua dokumen penting yang mesti dipenuhi dalam pengurusan SIPA.
Dokumen SIPA adalah dokumen yang harus dimiliki oleh apoteker agar dapat melakukan praktik kefarmasian. SIPA dikeluarkan oleh Dinas Kesehatan Kabupaten/Kota setempat.

Indonesian Pharmacist Competency Examination (UKAI) is scheduled to be performed nationally on Saturday, October 29, 2016. For the exam taken place in Hasanuddin University, the exam will be placed in Computer-Based Training (CBT) Room of Medical Faculty.
Twenty fresh graduates of Pharmacist Study Program Unhas will join the exam. For controlling the exam, 2 supervisors will be put in the room where one supervisor is from Unhas, Anshar Saud, who is a lecturer in Faculty of Pharmacy, and another supervisor is a national supervisor, Noffendri. He is a representative of Indonesian Pharmacist Association (IAI).
As known, this exam is a step for fresh graduates to get Pharmacist Practice License Letter (SIPA). If stated pass the exam, the participant will obtain Indonesian Pharmacist Competency Certificate (SKAI). This kind of document must be attached when the graduate would like to get Pharmacist Registration Letter (STRA). SKAI and STRA are two important documents that must be fulfilled to have practice license.
SIPA is a document that must be had by pharmacist so that the pharmacist can make pharmaceutical practice. This document is released by Health Department in Regency Level.
