Four international scholarship recipients who were at the top of their disciplines will be hosted by the University of New Castle in 2014:
- Valentina Wanghi from Italy was awarded an Endeavour Postgraduate Scholarship and will be studying a PhD Research in Geochemistry Endeavour Research Fellowships were awarded to
- Dujrudee Chinwong from Thailand who will undertake research in public health, and
- Yusnita Rifai from Indonesia for Postdoctoral research in Chemical Sciences.
- Hanny Hosiana Tumbelaka from Indonesia was awarded an Endeavour Executive Fellowship for Professional Development
