Profil Singkat
Achmad Himawan adalah dosen dan peneliti di Departemen Farmasi Sains dan Teknologi, Fakultas Farmasi, Universitas Hasanuddin, Makassar. Dengan latar belakang pendidikan S1 Farmasi UNHAS, M.Si. Fisika UNHAS, serta Ph.D. di bidang Pharmaceutical Sciences dari Queen’s University Belfast, ia fokus pada bidang Pharmaceutical Biomaterials, Advanced Manufacturing, serta Transdermal Drug Delivery dan diagnosis.
Penelitiannya terutama mengembangkan teknologi inovatif seperti microneedle patches (termasuk dissolving, bilayer, dan effervescent), nanopartikel targeted, serta formulasi biomaterial (seperti kitosan dan zinc oxide) untuk penghantaran obat yang lebih efektif pada kondisi seperti hipertensi gestasional, thalassemia mayor, infeksi jamur, dan kandidiasis.
Hingga saat ini, Achmad Himawan telah menghasilkan 49 artikel terindeks Scopus dengan H-index 14 (Scopus), H-index 16 (Google Scholar), serta lebih dari 880 sitasi. SINTA Score keseluruhan beliau mencapai 1.507, menjadikannya dosen aktif yang berkontribusi signifikan dalam pengembangan teknologi farmasi transdermal di Indonesia.
