General Information
Muh. Akbar Bahar is an associate professor in the Department of Pharmacy at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Hasanuddin University.
His scholarly work centers on pharmacogenetics, pharmacoepidemiology, pharmacology and toxicology.
He is the leader of the Pharmacoepidemiology Research Group (PharmaEpid-RG), guiding collaborative research on population-level medication use, effectiveness, safety, economic impact, rational drug use, and evidence-based pharmacy practice.
He also contributes to the Drug Efficacy and Medication Safety Research Group (DREaMS-RG) as a lecturer and research-team member, supporting work on therapeutic effectiveness, medication safety, and the responsible and evidence-based use of medicines.
